Hey everybody, I had to create a version 1.31 of WikiForum because of a bug in the installer. When installing first time the icon settings in the WikiForum.config.php wasn't set correctly. If you installed the version 1.3 on your system correctly there is no need to update to 1.31.

So finally here comes the version 1.3 of the WikiForum. This version contains some bug-fixes of the interationalization file and the database, which allows now all other alphabets then the latin one. Additionally added the French language to the Wiki (big thanks here to Raymond Sénèque). Two new features are also part of this release. A statistics page is now available and it its now possible to handle restrictions for mediawiki usergroups to the wikiforum categories. And at least there are a bunch of improvements like an improved seach algorithm. Here a short overview:

Currently I was working on some improvements for this blog solution (like formatting source code, quotes, links ...), but as there were some upcoming bugs in the WikiForum software I had to switch over the priority. The WikiForum release of version 1.3 was set up to the January 31st, 2011. This release will contain bug-fixes for quotes and the internationalization file. Additonially a French translation will be added to the internationalization file. There will be one change in the overview. The "last thread" column will be renamed to "last post" and it will contain not more the last thread but any last post in the forum. Two new features will be added to this version too. At first there will be a possibility to make categories with forums only visible and accessable for defined user groups. And at last there will be a statistics page.
There are some words in WikiForum 1.2 which were forget to add to the internationalization file of WikiForum. Thanks Raymond Sénèque for this input. Additionally thanks for the translation of WikiForum to French. The new version with the fixes and the new internationalization file will be published at least at Jan 31st, 2011. Stay online...

The release of the WikiForum 1.2 (released Dec 23rd, 2010) is now released. A lot of new features were implemented including an implementation of smilies and/or other icons, a simple search over the content, a preview functionality for all posts, a possibility to create links to other threads and for admins the possibility to create announcement forums where only moderators can create threads and a functionality to move threads between forums.
